reflections on god

A place to write down my thoughts and innermost reflections about how God leads, teaches and loves us...

What is God's Glory?

So what is God's purpose? Who is He? What does He love? What does He do? I don't know that I know any of those answers for myself but to say... He created me. Who am I? Does He love me? What is my purpose? What is this life really for and how am I supposed to live it? As I ponder on these questions and my own life and those around me who I love, I just keep thinking that compared to each other, we come out relatively the same. We each have our strengths and our weaknesses. We each have our specials talents but no one is quite the same. And then compared to God and his endless power and beauty and grace and perfection, we can absolutely be compared to the dust of the earth and even less if we think long enough about it. So why do we matter to Him? Why does any of this even matter? And so, I have to say this out loud to even try to feel it in my heart, that although we are nothing compared to Him, we are everything to Him. He made us. He loves us. He cares for and watches over us and wants us to return to Him.  He was willing to give us His one perfect son, who could be compared to Him in every way, for us... and that is why, however imperfect I am, however human I am, I know that I will always be loved by Him and I am a part of His purpose. He loves every one. I know that with all my heart. We are His children.
